Shall we play a game?
On the morning of October 15th 2016, we woke to a full day of activites. We started the day with breakfast and then a quick hike up Monte Sano. For those of you unfamiliar with the area. Monte Sano is out local mountain, and it's got some nice stops for those who play Pokemon Go.
After this, we met up with friends of ours for lunch and video games at Pints and Pixels. Tim organized this part of the day, and rented out a private room with an N64. As we ate, we got to play Mario Cart and Pokemon Statdium- which proved to be a great nostalgia trip for all involved.
It's dangerous to go alone
At one point during our gaming session, Tim decided that it was the time to propose. He produced a custom-made box that was designed to resemble a treasure chest from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The chest had been 3D printed, then painted, and it played music from the game when opened. Inside was a gorgeous ring that Tim had hand-made with 3 stones: Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire. These stones were also chosen to resemble something from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In the game, there are 3 spiritual stones that you must collect in order to proceed to adulthood: the Kokiri Emerald, the Goron Ruby and the Zora Sapphire. This game is a favorite for Sam, and it is one of the first games that we played together as a couple.
She said yes, btw...
